Hardwick Honey from The Bees at Hardwick

Over the last few months I’ve been working with Sedgefield Development Trust and volunteers from The Bees at Hardwick in developing honey label designs for Hardwick Honey – a natural honey produced by bees in hives situated near Hardwick Park in Sedgefield, County Durham.

The Bees at Hardwick is an initiative run by volunteer beekeepers in conjunction with Sedgefield Development Trust and part-funded by the County Durham Community Foundation. With 9 hives housing approximately 360,000 bees, the honey they produce will be sold at Sedgefield Farmers Market later this year with proceeds from sales going back into the running costs of the bee keeping.

I was asked by SDT to design an identity for The Bees at Hardwick and create the label design and print production for their produce. The honey label design needed to follow a similar silhouette brand style to Sedgefield Farmers Market which Edmundson Design created for Sedgefield Development Trust in 2013.

227 gram and 454 gram jars of Hardwick Honey will be on sale later in they year at Sedgefield Farmers Market which is held on the Green on the first Sunday of each month between 9.30am-12.30pm.
